About the holiday homes

The building that houses our luxury holiday homes was built on the remnants of an old bastion at the beginning of the last century. The bastion stood on the rampart that surrounded the old city centre. This is an exceptional and central location!

The property has recently been completely renovated and refurbished both inside and out. The character and original features of the property were retained and great care was taken with the finish. All of this combines to create a classic and luxurious setting.

The building is divided into two holiday homes: Molepôlle 6 and Molepôlle 7. Both have their own entrance and include:

  • Two bedrooms: one double (180×210) and one twin (90×210)
  • Two bathrooms with shower, sink and toilet
  • Wardrobes
  • Open kitchen with dishwasher, induction hob, combination microwave and fridge

Ready for your arrival!
We want you to feel at home in our properties. So our holiday homes are equipped with every comfort. When you arrive, you will find the beds beautifully made up. We also provide plenty of bath and kitchen towels.

Who are our holiday homes suitable for?
Our holiday homes are ideally equipped for 2 to 4 people. They are less well-equipped for babies, toddlers and young children. If you would like to stay in one of our holiday homes and will have young children with you, please be sure to bring high chairs and cots. Pets are not allowed.

Check-in and check-out
You can check in from 16:00 onwards. Please check out by 10:00.

Information for your visit
Once your booking is complete, we will send you an email with the necessary information. This explains how to get the key and provides directions to the property and other practical information.

Bike parking and charging
You can park your bike(s) easily and securely in our basement, where there is also a charging point for electric bikes.

Parking and public transport
It is easy to park near our holiday homes. One option is to park next to the Albert Heijn supermarket just around the corner at 8 Leeuwarderweg road. But make sure you park on the right side of the blue line and not in the supermarket car park! On Sunday, parking is free everywhere in Franeker. Our holiday homes are also within easy walking distance of the trainstation!

Everything you need within walking distance
Because you are right in the centre of Franeker, it is only a short walk to the baker, artisan butcher and local supermarket. You can also do all your other shopping in the centre of Franeker.
